Our life with afghans started in the 1994 when Untu´s first afghan hound
FIN & EST Champion Sagoslottet´s Hip Hip Hurray "PAAVO"
(Am Ch Al Rashid´s Bodacious/Sagoslottet´s Alla Älskar Mig) entered into our life.
Because of our parents and little-brother were allergic,
we couldn´t have a dog of our own untill Untu moved into her own home.
Untu had few mixed dogs before her first black&tan afghan male Paavo. Paavo was once in a lifetime dog.
He has had a great impact to both of our lives.
Paavo finished his champion title easily and was also trained to agility.
Paavo was first afghan in Finland who gained agility certificate.
And he still is only male in Finland who has gained it.
Paavo passed away in 2005.

Our first female arrived from Estonia to our home and life in 2000
when "SOILI" Oshanameh´s All About Love was born.
She´s daughter of famous Multi Ch WW-98 Boxadan Double Trouble.
Soili showed her talent both in shows and coursings. She only needed one certificate from Finland to become Finnish, Estonian & Norwegian Champion...
but instead in her last year that we showed her she collect more reserve-certificates than that last CAC.
But still to us she´s champion of our hearts
and she showed her best while having her two beaufitul litters here at Xanaghan´s!
Soili is mother to our Love and Charmed litters.
Soili passed away in March 2012, we cherish her memory in our heart forever and miss her deeply!
Luckily we have her beautiful daughters reminding of her in our lives!
Poetry in motion
The very first Xanaghan´s litter was born in January 2006
when we bred our lovely Estonian import Soili
with a finnish gentleman
Fin & S Ch Zhannel´s Yachtsman "HJALLIS" (CIB FinW-99 Sagoslottet´s Candyman/Ch Exxos Eden).
There was born only two puppies, Nala and Ares.
From that litter we kept Xanaghan´s Endless Love who produced our R-litter in 2011.
Xanaghan´s Loveman was co-owned by Satu Ala-Kokko,
who has now Ares sisters son "ZEUS" Xanaghan´s Rude Boy.
Xanaghan´s Loveman "Ares" died a two years of age to vet mistake. He´s still is deeply missed.
We can see little bit of him in Nala´s puppies.

Our second litter was born in January 2008 again to our Soili and this time we choosed to breed her with the famous Multi Ch Ingenue Sebaztian (Ch Boanne´s Dragonheart/Ch Scaramis Pardon Me Boys).
This litter produced us three girls Candy, Wanda and Phoebe.
Candy and Wanda will have their first litter very near future and their husbands have been already chosen....
Our latest litter and the third one born last summer to our adorable "Nala" Xanaghan´s Endless Love.
Nala had quite big bunch of babies with our swedish import "Saba" Tannique´s Black Sabbeth (Ch Alphaville´s That It That´s Me/Ch Tannique´s Sweet Child O Mine).
These lovely babies are just turning one year old and will enter their first juniorclasses in this spring/summer 2012.
We are breeding mostly on quality Scandinavian bloodlines with little bit taste of american lines into it........
Xanaghan´s Charmed Prue "CANDY"
We breed in a very small scale, maybe a litter a year and sometimes not even that one. All our dogs live as pets
and sleep in beds and sofas and the puppies born in our bedroom. We live in half hour from Finland´s capital city Helsinki.
The dogs and we enjoy long walks in forests around our house. Because we don't want to keep a big amount of dogs at home and we have placed several dogs to co-ownership.
That's how they all get a lot of love and attention and we can choose the best ones for breeding.
Our breeding
stock is officially health tested (eyes, elbows, knees & neck) and awarded in shows
and most of them have been
in lure coursing as well. Our number 1 priority in breeding is well-balanced (both mentally and physically) healthy dogs with type and temperament.
We have imported dogs from Estonia, Spain, Sweden and Norway.
